Jennifer Williams is a globally minded educator that works with classrooms of the world to connect learning and experience through meaningful uses of technology. She is a professor and literacy specialist, and serves on the Board of Directors for the International Literacy Association. Recognized as a transformational leader in education, Jennifer empowers teachers and students to explore together as digital composers in common learning spaces. Jennifer speaks, writes, and consults on practices that develop global perspectives and support social good, and her research interests include multimodal literacy and digital technologies, equity and diversity in education, and student-centered pedagogies. In 2016, Jennifer was named #33 of the 200 Top Education Influencers by Onalytica based on her work in education and educational technology. Jennifer is the co-founder of Edcamp Tampa Bay and part of the organizational teams for Edcamp Literacy and Edcamp NABSE. She is also a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, Nearpod PioNear, Kahoot! Founding Ambassador, consultant for EdSpeakers, and a contributing author for Edutopia, Education Week, Getting Smart, and International Literacy Association.
